the report mentioned in this link clearly show that water is not equally shared among provinces and the idealistic plannings are being made to cover the problem of unequal water shares in provinces.
Thats a ueseful link no doubt and very factual too. As we know that Punjab holds a lion's share on our water reserves, but the blame can't be put only on Punjab Givernment, as the population always dvelopes close to water bodies, and the Central Government made no sustainable future plans to conserve water for other provinces. Now its a madhouse out of control, because keeping the population away from the resources is possible to nothing. Keep posting.
A major political issue, water distribution has always been a bone of contention among Pakistan's four provinces: Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, and the North West Frontier. The three smaller provinces claim that Punjab, which has the largest population and accounts for more than 70 % of agricultural production, takes the major share of available water every year. But this claim is estimated through traditional statistical methods, which are not always accurate. Smaller provinces believe that water shortages in the Indus River System are artificially created and politically motivated to favour Punjab by a bureaucracy dominated by people from Punjab. Such problems could be effectively addressed if water availability is accurately forecast.
The water distribution has been a great problem for our economy. Each province wants most of the water,it is necessary that the provinces should receive equal water
