Attempting "describe" questions
Dear Readers!
Describe is one very common question command word in Environment paper.
Lets find a way to solve it.
1. Compass direction (begin from North, East, West and then South) Follow NEWS
2. Write about province/ region/ town/ city
3. along river
4. along borders be it national or international borders
If you use the above mentioned method describe questions can be answered effectively.

CIE Pak-Studies Question Guide
- The questions are of varied types.
- When reading question focus on COMMAND WORD, KEY WORD and CLUES.
- COMMAND WORD mostly is the first word of the question but NOT ALWAYS. This deals with how to answer.
- KEY WORD is in the later part guiding what to be answered.
- The clues are about provinces, regions or map hints in some questions are very helpful too.
- Reading questions with focus on the above mentioned features can sort half the problem.
Figure 2 highlights KEY WORDS.
Figure 3 highlights CLUES AND GUIDES within questions.
